Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho’s family targeted by “professional thief” at top London hotel.

The incident is thought to have occurred around 11pm on March 27.

Jamie Filan targeted the family of Jose Mourinho during their stay at the five-star Wyndham Grand Hotel in Chelsea, London.

Mourinho was said to be away on business at the time, while his wife and daughter were out shopping.

Jewellery worth more than £100,000 was stolen from their hotel suite.

The family were presumed to have been targeted for the rich picking that could be obtained.

The suite that the family had been staying in was only accessible via a key card system however Filan accessed a staff lift that bypassed this security system.

Jose Mourinho reportedly flew to London to comfort his wife and daughter as soon as he was informed about the incident.

The Mourinho family were said to be “extremely distressed”, by the whole ordeal.

Jamie Filan described as a “professional thief” was actually on licence at the time of the incident, after being released from burgling a home a few months earlier.

He is said to have ran up 19 convictions for 49 offences including a 5-year prison term for running over and killing Michelle Dever in 2007.

Filan was arrested nearly two weeks later attempting to burgle a suite at the Four Seasons hotel on Park Lane.

He admitted two counts of burglary.

As a result he has been sentenced to 31 months in prison.

As part of his license conditions he has been banned from entering any hotel in the City of London and the City of Westminster for five years after his release.

This is not the first time that Jose Mourinho’s family had been targeted.

A Macedonian gang had plotted to raid his Italian villa in Como two years ago however local police were able to apprehend the suspects before they could carry out their plans.
