Italian flagged MT Enrico Levoli was seized by Somali pirates on 27 Dec only days after the pirates released MT Savina Caylyn another Italian flagged vessel held in captivity for 11 months.
MT Enrico Levoli has a crew of 18 on board and was hijacked off the coast of Oman whilst underway to join a Chinese naval convoy to escort it through the Gulf of Aden.
The vessels owners Marnavi are based in Naples.
